it’s been a busy few days filled with lots of things to do but also lots of yummy foodies!
since i love so close to berryline, i constantly am going there for frozen yogurt. i have to say, their frozen yogurt is AWESOME (i went the other day and the owner was serving us! he gave me extra mochi on mine. yay). but when jenn suggested that there was some place better than berryline, i could not resist. i went over to BU and we went to Mixx, a semi-new self serve froyo place in allston! most of the froyo places i’ve ever been to aren’t self serve, so walking in, i already though Mixx was extra cool.
they had about eight froyo flavors to choose from and tons of toppings! YUMM. i ended up getting a little bit of peach froyo and some pomegranate froyo with strawberries, banana, blueberries, granola, and strawberry mochi. can you say delicious?
that same night, it was my mom’s birthday!! it’s tradition that we let the birthday person pick the place to eat, so my mom chose Shabu Zen, which is a hot pot place.
yum yum yum. i love hot pot! especially on cold days, the hot soup is just awesome. the only problem with hot pot is that i always get really full afterwards. i kind of just endlessly keep eating and realize too late that i have probably eaten too much… oops.
and on sunday, i had brunch with my lovely puddles at Upstairs on the Square. this has got to be the cutest little restaurant ever. the walls were purple and there were gold chairs and really cute decorations. it was a bit on the pricey side, but we were there for brunch and the food was totally worth it. my sister told me that their egg’s benedict had been featured on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate and seeing as i LOVE eggs, i pretty much knew exactly what i was going to get before i even got there.

droooool. it was SO good. the eggs were perfectly runny and the bacon was soo good. all i could ask for in an egg’s benedict plus more. 🙂
